Wooliv at the Cookie Monster Exhibition – Lisbon Design Week 2025

We proudly marked our presence at the Cookie Monster Exhibition, a site-specific installation curated by Openbook Studio, and one of the most celebrated highlights of Lisbon Design Week 2025.
Held from May 28 to June 1, with extended visits until June 20, the exhibition unfolded in the historic Cookie Room of the former Manutenção Militar complex in Beato, Lisbon. Within this industrial heritage, we showcased our craftsmanship and material innovation, shaping an environment where design became both narrative and experience.

At the Forefront of Design Innovation

For us, participation in the Cookie Monster Exhibition was more than an international appearance. It was an affirmation of Wooliv’s unique identity and values. Known for uniting timeless design, durability, and elegance, we brought to the installation our expertise in craftsmanship and materiality.

Through our collaboration with Openbook Studio, Wooliv placed artistry at the heart of the exhibition. By transforming conceptual sketches into tangible masterpieces, we reaffirmed our role as both custodian of design integrity and innovator in contemporary furniture making.

A Dialogue Between Past and Present

The Cookie Monster Exhibition became a dialogue between Lisbon’s industrial past and the possibilities of contemporary design. The Cookie Room, once dedicated to army food production, was reimagined as a poetic backdrop where memory and creativity converged.

Visitors entered a space where history provided context, but imagination reshaped the experience. This transformation echoed our own approach: turning design beyond its function into cultural expression and identity.

Vision Meets Craftsmanship

At the core of the project was our partnership with Openbook Studio. Together, we materialized two original concepts: a sculptural armchair and a distinctive washbasin.

The armchair revealed the understated elegance that defines our design language. With a refined wooden frame and minimalist geometry, it balanced sculptural presence with comfort. Upholstery in tactile fabrics invited moments of intimacy and reflection.

The washbasin emerged as a sculptural centerpiece. Crafted from noble wood with delicate brass accents, it embodied our commitment to artisanal precision and timeless aesthetics. More than function, it was a statement of how design can merge utility and art.

Both pieces demonstrated Wooliv’s ability to preserve a designer’s vision while elevating it through mastery of craft and material expertise. In doing so, we reinforced our role as a trusted partner for architects and designers in pursuit of excellence.

Craft in a Historic Setting

The Cookie Room was not merely a backdrop, it was a stage where our craftsmanship spoke in dialogue with heritage. The contrast between the raw industrial space and the refined elegance of our pieces amplified their impact, turning the exhibition into a testament to how tradition and innovation can coexist. For visitors, this experience confirmed what Wooliv stands for: more than furniture, we create narratives of design. By bringing integrity, elegance and innovation to the Cookie Monster Exhibition, we reaffirmed our place on the international design stage, where timeless sophistication meets inspired collaboration.
