If Portugal is known for its beaches, cuisine, and climate, WOOLIV is renowned for the quality of its high-end furniture.
The WOOLIV brand, known as Artisans of Wood, is part of the well-established AZEMAD group, founded in 1966. The group's heritage is built on the specialization of wood as its main raw material, designing and producing its products with all the know-how acquired over the years.
Founded on Portuguese soil in Oliveira de Azeméis (headquarters), the WOOLIV brand is a manifestation of love for wood and timeless design.
A balanced and simple name that takes us back to the essence of the project – wood. 'Oliv' from the olive tree and the city Oliveira de Azeméis, and the subtle 'liv' from the English 'live' – giving life to wood and consequently to the spaces where our pieces coexist.
With an established presence in Milan, New York, and various parts of the world, the key to WOOLIV's enduring success is its unwavering commitment to quality. Each piece is meticulously crafted by skilled artisans who master traditional techniques passed down through generations. Premium materials, such as exquisite rosewood, are chosen with precision to ensure that each piece is a masterpiece that embodies Portuguese excellence.
"The quality of the unique pieces, crafted by highly talented artisans, combining essential traditional techniques with contemporary styles, has allowed the company to remain a market reference both nationally and internationally for over five decades." - WOOLIV CEO, Paulo Martins.
A bold simplicity that adapts to any space, as showcased in the latest March Editorial developed by OUTGLOCAL.
From beds to display cabinets and consoles, at WOOLIV, we craft stories in wood. The pieces can be customized with a selection of marbles, upholstery, and, of course, different woods (walnut, oak, rosewood, etc.)
WOOLIV owns three hectares of native forest on its factory premises, consisting of over a thousand trees, 700 of which were planted by the company as part of an initiative to establish a 'forest laboratory.' This includes oak, cherry, and walnut trees.
The connection with nature has been part of this journey for over five decades. But more than just a relationship with nature, we aim – every day – to connect with the needs of each customer.
Shall we create a new story?
